How to move the catalog
- Switch the admin to EnglishWooCommerce translates the export’s column headers into the admin language, and Shopiforge recognizes the English ones. In WordPress open Users → Profile and set the language to English (United States).
- Export the productsProducts → All Products → Export. Keep all columns (Export all columns) and all product types (Export all products) and click Generate CSV. You can switch the profile language back afterwards.
- Upload the fileIn Shopiforge — “Catalog” → “Import” → “New import”, choose the file. The format is detected as “WooCommerce”, and the columns are mapped automatically.
- Check and runGo through the wizard steps — the defaults are usually enough — and see what will be created at the “Check” step. The steps are described in “Product import”.
Language
If the file was already exported in another language, the format isn’t detected. Export it again, or pick “WooCommerce” at the “Format” step and map the columns by hand.
What is transferred
- Products: name, description, SKU, barcode (GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN), tags, and attributes as product attributes.
- Variable products: the variations become products of one variant group, and the variation attributes (Size, Color) become its options. Variations without their own description, categories or photos get the parent’s, and the parent itself isn’t imported — at the “Check” step its row is skipped with an explanation.
- Prices: Regular price is the price. If Sale price is filled in, it becomes the price and Regular price becomes the old price.
- Stock quantity (Stock) and availability (In stock?).
- Categories — with their tree: “Clothing > T-shirts” is “T-shirts” inside “Clothing”.
- Photos — by links, the import downloads them to the media library.
- Status: published products become published, the rest become drafts. The status is applied to new products if “Review before publishing” is off at the “Settings” step.
What isn’t transferred
Customers, orders, reviews, the short description (Short description), translations (WPML, Polylang) and custom meta fields, including the SEO fields of plugins like Yoast. Texts are written in the store’s main language.
Repeat upload
Upload a fresh export into the same source — the same products are updated instead of new ones being created: they’re recognized by their WooCommerce ID. New variations are added to the group that’s already assembled.
